What is Reflect?
Reflect is a note-taking app built around daily notes, backlinked notes that form a graph of ideas, and local Markdown files kept in a folder you choose. Reflect Open is the open-source version, free on Mac and available with source code on GitHub. The iPhone and iPad apps are paid subscriptions. Sync works through iCloud Drive or Git.
You can capture ideas, save web clips with the Chrome extension, record audio memos and search past notes. Optional AI features are available if you connect your own API key from a provider; requests go directly to that provider and are billed separately. With AI you can ask questions answered with links to source notes, summarize text, list action items from meeting notes, transcribe voice notes and fix grammar. Notes marked private are excluded from AI access.
