What is LochBot?
LochBot is a free prompt injection vulnerability checker. You paste a chatbot's system prompt and the tool analyzes its structure against 31 known injection patterns grouped into 7 categories: direct injection, context manipulation, delimiter attacks, data extraction, role play jailbreaks, encoding attacks and prompt leaking. It does not test a live AI model. Instead, it looks for defensive language and structural elements in the prompt, such as XML delimiters, immutability declarations and refusal examples.
Each missing defense is rated critical, high, medium or low, and the results are combined into a 0-100 score with a letter grade from A to F. For every failed check the tool suggests a specific fix to add to the prompt, and the full report can be exported as JSON. According to the site, all analysis runs client-side in the browser, so the prompt is not sent to a server.
