What is hallmonitor?
hallmonitor is an open-source monitor for AI coding agents. It shows every Claude Code, Codex and opencode session running on your machine and on remote servers reachable over plain SSH, all on one board in the terminal, with a menu bar and notch app available on macOS.
Each session appears as a card grouped into Needs you, Working and Idle. Cards show the project, model, context size, current tool, last prompt and recent activity, and sessions waiting for a permission prompt, question or error are highlighted. The board also tracks agent-hours, tokens, cache hits and plan limits, and the tool is read-only unless you enable answering from the notch.
Key features
- Live board of Claude Code, Codex and opencode sessions grouped by status
- Shows current tool, last prompt, model, context size and running subagents per session
- Multi-machine monitoring over plain SSH
- Usage tracking for agent-hours, tokens, cache hits and plan limits
