What is EKHOS AI?
EKHOS AI is desktop transcription software that converts audio and video files, as well as live microphone and speaker audio, into text. Its AI runs locally on the user's computer using the CPU or an NVIDIA GPU, so files and transcripts are not sent to external servers, and the vendor states that data is never used to train its models.
In practice you can load MP3, MP4, WAV, MKV, AVI, MPEG and other formats, or use the queue for bulk jobs. The transcript is then proofread in a built-in media player with a Tracks Editor that highlights segments in sync with playback, plus search and a plain text editor. Speaker identification and labeling, 98 supported languages, and export to Word, PDF and text are also included.
