AI Horde is a distributed, volunteer-run network of computers (called workers) that together generate AI images and text. Users open the site in a browser, without installing anything, and submit requests that are handled by whichever workers are available. The site shows live status for image, text and alchemy (image processing) queues, including worker count, queue length and throughput.
In practice you can generate images and text for free through the web interface. Contributors can run a worker on their own hardware or donate, and earn kudos, a points system that gives them priority in the queue.
