What is YobiYoba?
YobiYoba is a web-based speech recognition service for transcribing audio and video recordings. You upload a file in any format from any source, specify the language (or let the system detect it), and receive a transcript synchronized with the audio. The service first finds the segments that contain speech, identifies the spoken language if it is not known in advance, and then converts the speech into time-coded text. The result includes speaker labels, word-level time codes, confidence scores and punctuation.
You can review the transcript in an editing tool, where the text stays synchronized with the audio, and correct errors manually. To improve accuracy, you can supply a list of uncommon words such as proper names, or plain text closely related to the recording. Finished transcripts can be exported as PDF, DOC, RTF, CSV, SRT, VTT, XML and other formats, which makes the output usable for subtitles and documentation.
