What is Opik?
Opik is an open-source AI observability and evaluation platform from Comet. You instrument your application with a few lines of code (SDK, 60+ integrations, or OpenTelemetry), and it logs traces of every step your agent takes, such as context retrieval, tool calls, model responses, and token costs.
On top of the traces you can run Diagnostics to surface recurring errors, use the Ollie agent to suggest fixes, define pass/fail Test Suites or golden datasets scored with 40+ LLM-as-a-judge metrics, and monitor production dashboards with alerts. It also includes expert annotation queues, an agent playground, and Cost Intelligence for tracking coding agent spend such as Claude Code and Codex usage.
Key features
- Agent tracing and execution graphs with token and cost tracking
- Diagnostics for detecting and grouping recurring errors in traces
