What is Microsoft Copilot?
Microsoft Copilot is an AI assistant built by Microsoft to help people get things done. The homepage presents it as a chat interface that works across your day, with sections for Chat, Create, Prompts and Cowork, plus a Work IQ area and a download option. The pricing text describes Microsoft 365 Copilot as a paid add-on that brings generative AI into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Microsoft Teams, with chat connected to work data.
In practice you can use it to draft and refine documents, brainstorm ideas, learn new topics and work through problems in a conversational way. The business plans add a chat connected to company data, AI agents for tasks, and the ability to build custom agents. The text on the page is mostly marketing and navigation, so the exact limits of the free version are not spelled out in the material provided.
