What is Graphite?
Graphite is a code review platform built on top of GitHub and Git. It adds a PR page, an inbox, a merge queue and AI review features on top of the usual pull request workflow. Its CLI and VS Code extension let developers split larger changes into stacked, sequenced PRs so work can continue while earlier changes are still under review.
The AI side includes automated reviews on every PR that flag critical bugs and suggest fixes before merge, plus Graphite Chat, a collaborative reviewer inside the PR page where you can ask about changes, resolve CI failures and commit suggested fixes. Other features include Slack notifications, reviewer assignment, automations, team insights and a CI optimizer that runs checks only when needed.
