What is FaceApp?
FaceApp is a photo editing app focused on portraits. It uses artificial intelligence to change faces in an uploaded picture, with filter groups covering age, hairstyles, skin retouching, impression-style portrait looks and, according to the blog, newer Emotions and Fun filter sets that change facial expressions.
The workflow is simple: you pick or take a photo, choose a filter group or single effect, and preview the result before saving or sharing it. Filters can be combined in some cases, for example by selecting several effects from one group. You can use the app on iOS and Android, and the homepage highlights its App Store and Google Play awards.
