What is MinusX?
MinusX is an agentic business intelligence platform built around a data agent that learns a company's definitions of metrics such as ARR or active users. It connects to databases, warehouses, CSV files and Google Sheets, and is also available as an open source (Apache 2.0) self-hosted option.
In practice you can ask ad-hoc questions in plain language or from Slack, have the agent write SQL, build dashboards and visualizations, draft slide decks and data stories, and set up scheduled reports, threshold alerts and proactive nudges. Evals let you test whether the agent answers business questions correctly, and an MCP server exposes the data to other AI agents.
