What is Melies?
Melies is an AI creative suite for making films, from first idea to final cut. It bundles image generation, image-to-video clips, movie poster creation, screenwriting, and a library of over 150 AI actors that can be cast or trained from a single reference photo. A visual style library with more than 100 cinematic and visual effects lets users apply looks such as anime, cinematic or minimalist to images with one click.
The platform integrates more than 30 third-party generative models, including FLUX, Kling, Runway, Luma, Veo and Sora, so users can pick a model per task instead of signing up with each provider. Usage is measured in monthly credits, and each model has a different credit cost depending on settings. Melies also offers an AI agent toolkit installable through a CLI, so coding agents such as Claude Code or Cursor can generate images and videos directly.
